Frequently Asked Questions.
-
What does the custom blend development process involve? Our custom blend development process begins with understanding your market, consumer profile, and product objectives. We then develop initial samples based on your specifications — covering bean origin, roast profile, grind size, chicory ratio, and product format. You evaluate the samples, provide feedback, and we refine until you are satisfied. Once approved, we lock in the formulation for consistent production.
-
What parameters can be customised in a coffee blend? We can customise bean origin and variety (Arabica, Robusta, or blends), roast level (light, medium, dark), grind consistency and particle size, coffee-to-chicory ratio, instant coffee format (spray dried, agglomerated, microground), and packaging format, size, and labelling. Essentially, we can tailor every aspect of the product to your requirements.
-
Is there a minimum order quantity for custom blends?Minimum order quantities for custom blends are higher than for standard products, as they involve dedicated production runs. MOQs depend on the specific product format, packaging type, and blend complexity. Please contact our export team with your requirements and we will advise on applicable MOQs.
-
How long does the sample development and approval process typically take?Sample development typically takes 2–3 weeks from receipt of your detailed specification. We will dispatch samples via air courier for your evaluation. Revision rounds, if required, add approximately 1–2 weeks per round. We recommend allowing 4–8 weeks for the full sample approval process before confirming a production order.
-
Can Narasu's develop a blend exclusively for my brand — and keep it confidential?Yes. Custom formulations developed for a buyer are treated as proprietary and are not supplied to other clients under the same specification. We are happy to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) to protect your formulation and business interests. Please raise this requirement at the outset of the discussion.
-
Can Narasu's help with regulatory compliance and labelling for custom blend products? We can provide the product information, ingredient declarations, nutritional data, and certification documentation needed for your label. However, final compliance with destination market regulations is the buyer's responsibility. We strongly recommend working with a local regulatory advisor in your market. Our export team is experienced in supporting buyers through this process.
-
What is the lead time for production of an approved custom blend order?Once a formulation is approved and an order is confirmed, standard production lead time is 2–4 weeks depending on order volume and packaging complexity. This is followed by quality release, documentation preparation, and logistics coordination. Our export team will provide a specific timeline at the order confirmation stage.
